David Burke, born and raised in Powell, Wyoming, has been taking photos of anything outdoors that would move (or, didn’t move) in Northern Wyoming since the days of the "Brownie" camera. Having used "4x5" and "5x7" large format cameras in high school photography, he found the 35mm both realistic and somewhat affordable. With film being a valuable luxury, he remembered what his photography instructor meant when he said "Always take the best picture you possibly can". That philosophy is still used today. The best artistic picture means less editing in the dark room or at the computer. 40 years later, and using digital cameras, he still does minimal editing. Having studied Environmental Sciences and Ecology in college, this has shaped the way David attempts to capture unaltered moments in Nature.
